Rick Martin - Licensed Optician/Lab Manager
Rick
has been working as an optician since 1987; two years as an apprentice
optician and a Board Certified Optician since 1989. His experience comes
from working in chain and private practices around Columbus. Due to his
vast optical knowledge with frames and lenses, he has been able to meet
the needs of many individuals in choosing what is right for them. Rick
joined Northwest Vision Center in August of 2000. He was immediately promoted
to Lab Manager and is in charge of the quality and accuracy of products
supplied by the lens laboratories. Rick also utilizes his managerial skills
in organizing many tasks throughout the office.
Rick enjoys working with people. He enjoys helping patients choose which frame is right for them, according to their individual occupational or athletic needs. His experience with lens options allows him to make the best recommendations (i.e. light-weight options, tints, anti-reflective lenses, type of bifocal). Rick takes pride in knowing that he will always do his best in helping patients to see the best way possible with the latest available technology.
In his spare time, Rick is involved in his sons’ boy scout troop, coaching
his sons’ in various sports, and is a huge OSU Buckeye fan. He also enjoys
playing volleyball, softball, and golf.
