Sue Cross - Licensed Optician/Certified Paraoptometric
Sue
received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Ohio University in 1990.
Following that, she worked as the Classified Ad Manager for a large advertising
newspaper chain for several years. Deciding that she needed a change,
Sue joined Northwest Vision Center in 1996 as an apprentice optician.
After working and studying as an apprentice for two years, she earned
her Optician's license and is now Board Certified. In addition to being
one of three Licensed Opticians on staff, in 2006 Sue successfully completed
the Certified Paraoptometric Examination and met all the requirements
necessary to earn the designation of Certified Paraoptometric. As a member
of the American Optometric Association Paraoptometric Section, Sue is
able to keep abreast of the latest developments in patient care, new products
in the industry, and general knowledge of eye health. Sue is the technician
who will perform all of the tests at the beginning of your eye exam. Her
experience and knowledge enable her to deliver quality eye health care
to each patient on a daily basis.
In her spare time, Sue enjoys cooking, reading, home renovation, and
spending time with friends and family. Sue lives in Johnstown with her
husband, Thom, and her “four-legged child,” a little beagle named Ginger.
