Dr. Michelle Buckland, Optometrist

Dr. Michelle Buckland graduated from Centre College in Danville, KY in 2002. She went on to attend The Ohio State University College of Optometry, graduating top of her class in 2006 and receiving the Beta Sigma Kappa medal. After receiving her doctor of optometry, she completed the Advanced Practice Fellowship in Binocular Vision and Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Her training involved examining pediatric patients, providing vision therapy for a variety of patients including athletes and brain injury patients. As part of the fellowship program she completed a Master of Science in Vision Science. She is also a clinical assistant professor in the Binocular Vision Pediatric clinic at the OSU College of Optometry.

Dr. Buckland enjoys working with pediatric patients. She has a special interest in vision therapy and sports vision therapy. As an InfantSee provider, Dr. Buckland enjoys providing infants their first eye exam. She also enjoys participating in Ohio's RealEyes program that discusses vision and eye health in local schools.

Dr. Buckland has lectured on various topics relating to pediatric eye care and vision therapy to optometry students and practicing optometrists. Dr. Buckland has been active in the Central Ohio Optometric Association serving as trustee, governor-elect and governor. She is a member of the both the Ohio Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.

Dr. Buckland lives in Grove City with her husband, Eric, and two young children, Drew and Mia.
